Club Ardagh is a Montessori Preschool and Afterschool childcare service located on the grounds of St Mel’s National School in Ardagh village. It was started by a group of local women who came together to provide a childcare facility in the village and we officially opened in 2009. We began with one classroom and then in 2018 an attic conversion was completed to allow space for a second preschool room.
Our hours are:
- Preschool children from 9.30am to 12.30pm
- School aged children from 2.00pm to 6.00pm.
During midterms and school holidays we run camps for school age children from 9.30am to 3pm.
The facility is a bright, modern building that can accommodate up to 22 Montessori Preschoolers & 11 Junior Preschoolers in the morning and 20 School Age children in the afternoon. It is fitted out and equipped to the highest standard, with a dedicated playground space and also a separate sensory garden for the children.
